Dare County Schools Media Centers and Collections

Dare County Schools’ media centers are the hub of our schools, serving as welcoming spaces for reading, studying, research, and collaboration. Our dedicated media coordinators and assistants ensure students have access to a wide range of age-appropriate materials that support projects, learning, and a lifelong love of reading.
 
Our collections are carefully curated and includes print books, e-books, and audiobooks. Media center staff also collaborate with teachers to provide supplemental resources that enhance instruction and align with curriculum standards. Sora is an award-winning digital reading app that allows K–12 students to discover and enjoy age-appropriate eBooks, audiobooks, and more from their school library collection.
