Upcoming Board of Education Meeting
Special Meeting on June 23, 2026
The Dare County Board of Education will meet in special session on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., at the Dare County Administration Building in Manteo, NC. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to consider end-of-year business and financial matters; to receive an update on the Dare County Schools AIG Program; and to receive the second reading of the following policy manual updates:
- Policy 4332: Use of E-Bikes
- Policy 6325: Parking Areas for Students
The Board will also meet in closed session with the Board of Education attorney to preserve the attorney-client privilege as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3); to consider confidential personnel matters as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6); and to consider confidential student matters as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(1) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99).
