What is Google Apps at Dare County Schools?

Google Apps at Dare County Schools provides a gateway to Google’s online services, allowing you to take advantage of Google’s email, productivity, and collaboration tools.

Can I sign up if I already have Gmail?

Yes. You will be creating a new Gmail account through Google Apps at Dare County Schools. This will not affect your personal Gmail account.

How does it work?

The technology facilitator for your school will create an account for you. Your new account will be yourname@daretolearn.org. You will be given a separate Google password to access your new Google Apps account. Once your account is active you will be able to select any of the Google services you wish to use.

Enjoy Google’s powerful email program. It comes with a powerful spam filter and over 7GB of space that’s constantly growing (so you never have to delete a message again).

Organize you life with a simple online calendar. Keep a calendar for yourself, share calendars with your friends, and subscribe to public calendars to stay on top of events at your school.

Chat with your friends and classmates on the web or on your desktop. Organize a group chat to go over homework.

Create and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations online, and download them to your favorite desktop application. Great for collaborative projects, in and out of class.

View, create, and share video assignments with teachers and other classmates.
